We built this infrared heater to thrive in that exact environment. It’s IP65 waterproof, meaning it can handle constant moisture without blinking. The whole point is keeping everything electrically isolated, so you never have to worry about short circuits or corrosion sneaking in. It delivers a solid 2500W at 400V, packed into a 300mm quartz tube. That’s a lot of power in a small space, so we double-insulated and potted the electrical feedthroughs. The result? A steady, reliable heat output that doesn’t waver, no matter how humid the air gets.
Quartz Tube, Halogen Element, and Connectors
The tube itself is heavy-duty quartz, chosen specifically for how well it handles sudden temperature changes. Turn it on and off quickly? No problem. It won’t crack under the pressure. Inside, a halogen filament gets seriously hot, throwing out shortwave infrared heat that warms surfaces directly, not the air around them. That means you get warmth almost instantly, and the whole unit stays compact. For the connectors, we went with R7s. It’s a compact ceramic terminal that’s been proven over time. It locks the tube in place and handles high current without breaking a sweat. Installation is a breeze—just drop it in. And since the terminals stay relatively cool compared to the hot zone, it takes a lot of stress off the insulation.
Application and Engineering Trade-offs
In a wet bathroom, you need heat that actually stays put, without moisture getting inside. This IP65 infrared heater gives you fast, localized warmth while keeping every electrical connection completely isolated. The sealed design stops condensation from creeping into the wiring, period. Now, here’s the trade-off: that 400V, 2500W power packed into a 300mm tube creates serious heat. So you’ll want to plan for enough clearance and ventilation. Make sure you mount it on a surface that can handle high temperatures. The housing will get hot, so treat it like what it is—a high-temperature component in your setup. This whole configuration is built to be reliable, even in damp conditions. Wire it up, set the right mounting distance, and you get predictable heat every single time. The IP65 seal, the quartz tube, and the R7s terminals all come together to give you a tough, serviceable solution that meets the safety demands of wet spaces.
